Review submissions

Open the grading table

1. Open the Moodle assignment.
2. Select View all submissions or the equivalent grading action.
3. Locate the ScholarScan report columns.

ScholarScan Similarity Report column

The column shows the latest synchronized similarity percentage for each student's assignment submission. Select the percentage to open the report. Pending means the report is not ready or Moodle has not synchronized it yet.

ScholarScan intentionally does not place a duplicate report link beside each submitted filename when the dedicated column is installed.

ScholarScan Artificial Intelligence Report column

When the optional AI column plugin and assignment AI indicators are enabled, this column shows the latest AI indicator percentage. Select it to open the AI details section of the ScholarScan report.

An unavailable or insufficient result should not be converted into a zero-risk or zero-use conclusion.

Latest report versus logs

The grading table shows only the latest report for the student and assignment. Lecturers and administrators can use Reports and logs or View all ScholarScan reports and logs to review the complete assignment mapping history.

Suggested review sequence

1. Confirm the correct student and filename.
2. Check report status and processing time.
3. Read the overall similarity score.
4. Review each matched source and passage.
5. Check whether exclusions and source settings fit the assignment.
6. Review AI signals only if enabled.
7. Record any academic decision through the institution's approved process.
