Lecturer manual
Use this section to configure ScholarScan in a Moodle assignment and review submission results.
Typical path: Edit assignment → expand ScholarScan settings → enable checks and access → save → open View all submissions → use ScholarScan report columns → review evidence in context.
Lecturer responsibilities
- Select checks appropriate to the assignment.
- Tell students whether reports and email will be available.
- Review matched text and source context, not only percentages.
- Treat AI indicators as supporting signals, never proof.
- Follow institutional academic integrity and privacy procedures.
Main lecturer tasks
- Configure assignment-level ScholarScan settings.
- Review the latest results in the submission table.
- Interpret similarity, sources, and AI indicators.
- Recheck an assignment or handle resubmission.
Note
Tenant administrators control the ScholarScan service connection, Moodle platforms, API tokens, queue, reference library, mail transport, and storage housekeeping policy. Each Moodle platform requires its own API token so its course, assignment, and submission identifiers remain isolated. Lecturers control assignment-level scanning behavior exposed by Moodle.
